100,000 successful Intasite inductions with PD Ports

We have achieved a significant milestone by completing the successful health and safety induction of more than 100,000 visitors across three of PD Ports’ sites. As a leading provider of workplace safety solutions, this further reaffirms our position at the forefront of revolutionising safety inductions and streamlining processes for our clients.

PD Ports, one of the UK’s major port groups, became our inaugural client to pilot our innovative induction programme in June 2016. This collaboration led to the full implementation of the system across its sites at Teesport Unitised, Teesport Bulks, and Hartlepool. Our tailored approach to safety inductions has set a new standard in safety training by creating bespoke, site-specific induction videos catering to the requirements of hauliers, visitors, and contractors. This ensures that each user receives only the information relevant to their role.

The induction programme features vivid 2D and 3D animations, depicting access routes, one-way systems, and speed limits. These visual aids significantly improve comprehension and engagement, making safety information more accessible to all users.

One of the highlights of this partnership is the seamless integration of Intasite's software with PD Ports' autogate system. This allows for real-time transmission of induction completion data, making the process efficient and secure. Moreover, the system adapts to HGV drivers; preferred language settings, fostering inclusivity.

An additional benefit of the partnership is the automated synchronisation of access cards when drivers renew their inductions. This automated approach enhances health and safety measures by instantly denying entry to anyone without a valid induction.

This collaboration has also had a positive environmental impact, with the planting of approximately 400 trees as part of an initiative that sees them plant one tree for every 100 client inductions.

This milestone with PD Ports is not an isolated achievement for us. We have expanded our reach and gained new major clients in multiple sectors, including renowned names like Budweiser brewer - AB InBev, CityFibre, Equinor’s Dogger Bank Wind Farm, SSE Renewables, EDF Renewables, Hitachi Energy, and SeAH Wind. This expansion into the renewable energy sector underscores the versatility and adaptability of our onboarding platform.

Our platform offers a comprehensive solution for streamlining the induction process, enabling companies to provide interactive safety modules that can be accessed and completed from any desktop or mobile device. The platform also offers contractor and supplier management, safety briefings, language translations, and integration with access control for enhanced security.

This commitment to providing effective and user-friendly health and safety induction solutions has gained recognition across UK industry. Our in-house production team specialises in creating health and safety induction videos, ensuring that the content is tailored to specific safety requirements and industry standards.

Digitising and streamlining the induction process enables organisations to improve employee engagement and understanding, reduce non-compliance risks, and create a culture of safety. This commitment to fostering safer workplaces is at the core of Intasite's mission.

Mick Robinson, group security manager at PD Ports, attested to the transformative impact of our services at Teesport, highlighting the automation of their induction process and the positive working relationship with Intasite. This milestone demonstrates the scale and importance of having a trusted system in place.

Our collaboration with PD Ports marks a significant achievement in workplace safety. The innovative induction programme not only streamlines processes but also sets a new standard for safety training. The success of this partnership is a testament to the trust placed in our systems and the commitment to making workplaces safer.
