We have always been committed to sustainability, which is why we are proud to share that we have reached a significant milestone in our efforts.
We recently took a step forward by planting more than 1,500 trees, effectively offsetting a staggering 181,840 kg of CO2 emissions. To put it in perspective, that's equivalent to driving almost 500,000 kilometres in a car.
As a Teesside-based company specialising in health and safety inductions and contractor management software for secure sites, we understood the importance of becoming more sustainable and taking responsibility for our carbon footprint. With this goal in mind, we embarked on this eco initiative: planting one tree for every 100 inductions conducted by our clients. The result? A total of 1,596 trees have been planted so far.
Our journey began with the first stage of the project, where our clients conducted 59,000 inductions. This led us to commit to planting 590 trees, covering an area equivalent to approximately two football pitches. Witnessing the positive impact and the growing numbers, we realised the potential we had to make an even greater difference. That's when we decided to collaborate with Tree Nation, an online platform that partners with tree planting initiatives worldwide, working closely with local communities to restore and maintain healthy forests.
Thanks to this collaboration, we were able to plant an additional 1,006 trees at Project Eden Reforestation Projects in Madagascar and Nepal. It's been an incredible journey, and I am grateful to everyone involved, including our clients, team members, and even our children, who have actively participated in tree planting activities. Together, we are making a significant contribution to the environment.
