As a team at Intasite, we're always looking for ways to give back to our community, and this summer, we found an opportunity to do just that. We're excited to share that we’ve teamed up with Home-Start Teesside to donate 30 family tickets to Newham Grange Farm. This means that 30 families, supported by Home-Start Teesside, will get to enjoy a fun and memorable day out, free from the worries of everyday life.
These tickets, which cover entry for two adults and two children, will allow families to immerse themselves in nature, explore the adventure play zone, and even challenge each other in a round of crazy golf. It's a small way to give these families a break, especially during a time when a bit of joy and relaxation is so needed.
At Intasite, we're incredibly proud to support Home-Start Teesside, a dedicated voluntary organisation that enhances the well-being of families with young children across Stockton, Middlesbrough, and Redcar & Cleveland. The work they do—providing tailored support, companionship, and practical assistance to parents navigating the ups and downs of raising young children—is truly inspiring.
With their '24 for 24' campaign, Home-Start Teesside is aiming to recruit 24 new volunteers in 2024 to keep up with the growing demand for their services. Right now, they support 30 families, but with 150 referrals each year, the need for more hands on deck is clear.
Danielle Croce, Commercial Director at Intasite, said: I love spending time with my own children, and I know that these tickets will offer fantastic days out for many families who might not otherwise have the chance. I’m fortunate that I don’t have to worry about the costs and logistics of childcare during the summer holidays—something that many parents do have to consider. That’s why I’m so pleased we can support Home-Start Teesside’s incredible work. Growing up near Newham Grange Farm, I have fond memories of my own visits there, and I’m thrilled that more children will now have the opportunity to create their own.
Michelle Hardy, Scheme Manager at Home-Start Teesside, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Intasite for their generosity. The summer holidays can be daunting for any parent, especially those with children under 5. For parents already struggling, the long school summer holiday brings additional financial pressures. This donation will provide these families with much-needed respite and joyful experiences.”
Wendy Rogan, the operations and visitor manager at Newham Grange Farm, also shared her excitement about welcoming these families. She spoke about the joy of seeing children’s faces light up as they meet the farm animals and explore everything the farm has to offer. We're grateful to both Wendy and Home-Start Teesside for helping us make these memorable experiences possible for so many families in our community this summer.
At Intasite, we believe in the power of community and the difference that small acts of kindness can make. We're honored to be part of this initiative and look forward to seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of the families as they enjoy their day at Newham Grange Farm.
